I have tried 5.8.1 on Panther 10.3.4 today, and it performed Very Well. I have a few suggestions I will email to author.
And, even though most of my song files are MP3 format, if he says he will add AAC support, then I will register. (I have found no other program that will do this kind of batch rename tailoring, while still allowing me to control where the songs/folders are.
(Yes, I looked at autotag and id3x, but MP3 Rage seems much more flexible for my needs.)

I Think Mp3 rage is a good option for those people that need full control over their mp3's - but honestly.. AutotagX is superior when it comes to renaming files you only know the album name of.
Write in the name of the album and presto!! it finds your album + others with simular names - unfortunaly its a pay-up app. but still worth the money - think about all those albums you didnt tag with itunes - and have no information at all.. JUST DO IT.. with Autotag X

It would be nice if it supported ACC, but it's still a great application. I think it's 'volume adjuster' tool is still the best option out there for adjusting mp3's volume (Itunes soundcheck and mp3gain just do not work right).

MP3Rage is really astounding as MP3 editor but MP3 is now an old audio format. iPod read AAC, iTunes, by defauld, makes AAC but, there is MP3Rage ignoring absolutely this format!

Where can we found an AAC tag editor?

needs AAC and unicode support. Aqua interface would be nice too... Still the best mp3 cataloger around though. Beats iTunes hands down...

Best there is and it'll get better with your support. iTunes is better for multiple file changes - more intuitive - but the renamer and advanced features of MP3Rage saves me a lot of time.
