My Mac is the 27" Intel, OS 10.6.7. Shouldn't this firmware update show up in Software Update? I wonder why it doesn't?

If the update doesn't show up in your Software Update it's probably because you don't need it. Im guessing the update is specific to a particular drive or revision of hard drive that were only used in some iMacs.
