Just a thought:
This comment is not just for this apps but all similar apps in general. if the additions or changes you make to an app make a significant difference as to how that works, then the changes that are made may be worth the added complexity and possibly additional member requirements that the changes make. However if the changes are just for cosmetic reasons, or without the changes adding additional functionality, then I question whether or not the changes are worth the chance of adding instability, performance impact, warm memory usage to the app that you are changing.

Once again, just a thought.

Ok...found 1.2, but still won't install. Installer says "Can't find iTunes"

where did you find version 1.2?

I appreciate the reply, thanks I just upped the rating:) However, Terminal says
Unexpected argument high-contrast-mode-enable; leaving defaults unchanged.
And leaves the playlist white.

I just found on Terminal, it's

defaults write com.apple.iTunes high-contrast-mode-enable -bool TRUE

It doesn't fit, the outline of iTunes is too dark and the inside is too white, it's blinding, you should try to make the inside a little more dark too. Probably a little bit more like Spotify?

Here's what you can do. Open Terminal and type the following:

defaults write com.apple.itunes read com.apple.itunes high-contrast-mode-enable -int 1

This makes the playlist and sidebar backgrounds black.
This is an option for users of the full Crystal Black theme, but since the theme for iTunes isn't really software--just graphics--it's not part of the installer.

To reverse the black to the default colors, type:

defaults write com.apple.itunes read com.apple.itunes high-contrast-mode-enable -int 0

You can also achieve this by using a third-party customization utility such as Secrets.

Smart move, making this one free. I haven't tried the overall Crystal Black theme for SL, but I am going to give this a try and see what I think. Thanks for this effort!
