Select file>Get info>General>Check the "Locked" checkbox.
It too will warn you if you try to move/delete the file and allow you to cancel the operation.

I guess you could say that it falls under the same category as for example AppZapper, where in that case you might as well use spotlight to find the preferences and support files associated with a certain application, but it simply does this for you.
