ProcessRenicer allow you to change the nice value of your computer processes.

The nice value of a process is used by the kernel to compute the process priority. Giving a lower nice value to a process will increase it's priority, and allow a better usage of the CPU resources.

I like being able to see the Started time/date. Wish I could change column widths, though. On my MacBook, the Started column minutes and seconds are cut off. But I can't make some "too-wide" columns narrower to allow seeing this fairly important info.
Also, there really should be a horizontal scroll bar when the data doesn't fit horizontally. And the last process info line is slightly cut off at the bottom.

Seems to work well (I reniced Virus Barrier Express to +4). When you try to renice to a negative value and aren't super-user (root) it seems to fail silently; it should probably mention somewhere during the renice operation that negative renice can only be specified by root, and maybe should put up a warning dialog when the renice fails.

But I seldom renice, so having an app to do it is more convenient than opening the man pages in Terminal in order to figure it out all over again.

Whoops! Sorry, my review above was based on 1.1.1, not 1.1.2.

Tried to download 1.1.2 but the eosgarden website is not responding right now.

Unfortunately 1.1.4 does not improve the human interface: columns still not resizable.

Also, it puts a large CPU load on my MacBook, ranging from 15% to 75-80% in many samples taken both by itself and by Activity Monitor.

And it seems to misreport Virtual Memory usage, showing periodictable as using 1.1GB whereas Activity Monitor reports 212MB for same process. Although the VM usage isn't a big hairy deal, and it does report actual RAM usage the same as Activity Monitor, it should report correctly any quantity it bothers to report.

Needs work.
