And it doesn't take much effort to create/rename a new folder and move Desktop files/folders into it quite a few times in ~2 minutes. :)

This could be the most vapid apps I've ever seen on MU. Is this what we can expect showing up in the App Store, too?

@slk: Probably because apps like this fill a need in some users' lives. Most of us aren't scriptors like P.g. or types like you with lots of Folders on the Desktop. I personally use an app like this from time to time to clear the clutter. Yes, there are many of us who don't have strict workflow rules WRT our Desktops and they get cluttered, just like the physical desktop on which my Mac sits. please don't call apps "vapid" just because they don't fit your style.
