Still cannot upload to Flickr. Images stop at 208k and just sit there. I really want to like this product but the developer has been unable to identify the problem.

latest update fixes nothing for me and now breaks Smugmug because it fails to load my categories. Actively seeking a substitute.

Poster is FAST, smooth and sexy.

It don't use Failbook, but I do use Flickr, and it absolutely rocks

What makes this application any different than RealMacs Courier?

It took a while to get ownership of this listing, so I could respond, sorry.

I'm not an expert on Courier's functionality, but off the top of my head, Poster is a completely different user experience, allows people tagging in both Flickr and Facebook, video posting to Flickr, posts to Facebook Pages, supports Flickr groups, can rotate and resize photos before uploading and has export plug-ins for iPhoto and Aperture.

@ Reinvented Software: Not trying to be critical...just trying to understand the value proposition of your new product. For Facebook (not Flickr) I can do everything from within iPhoto already. Am I missing something? Again...only interested in what this app does for me regarding Facebook.

The Facebook integration in iPhoto '11 is a much better experience these days and all Poster can do that iPhoto (or anything else I can think of) can't is post to Facebook Pages. If you only use Facebook, are happy with iPhoto and don't need to post to pages, then you don't need the app.

Not sure what you mean about posting to Facebook "pages"? Within iPhoto '11 I can post to existing albums, new albums, and (I think) make a post to my status using a single picture...or album. That said...I still like the looks of Poster and will likely try it to see if it's any easier or does anything I can't do with iPhoto '11

@larrymcj Thanks. Pages are the things you "like" - e.g. http://www.facebook.com/iTunes - so it's possible to post photos to any of those that you administer

Thanks for the clarification on "pages"...I wasn't thinking about those pages. I never post pics to a page I "like" so unfortunately, I suspect just using iPhoto '11 will work fine for me. I wish I still used Flickr, but my friends and family hated it, so I switched back to Picasa to keep everyone happy. Thanks again!

Courier forces you go to to the web interface to add info like tags.

(with Courier, if you upload to their Ember service, it carries over the tags you enter in the software. This is not the case for uploading to Flickr)
