After installing 2.0 I couldn't get it to work. Through trial and error I've concluded that there's a conflict with another extension - Disconnect 3.03.

Disabling Disconnect allows APZ to work, but only after restarting Safari.

Since I don't really seem to use Disconnect I'll leave it disabled but I thought this might help others who may have a problem. I also sent this info to the developer.

Version 2.0 is nice with all the extra features however i dont really use it. It also seems that the 115% zoom in 1.0.7 is now 120% in 2.0.

Update: There is a significant delay when using the hotkeys (command +/-) to zoom in and out which was not present in 1.0.7! Please fix!

As I have a problem with a specific size that has pop-ups misplaced when you zoom in with this ext, I found ZoomBySite (which is not on MU) that has the same problem but allows for different zoom sizes depending on the website, I'm still trying it but it seems really good!

The weird thing for my zooming problem is that it's ok if I zoom manually but not with a dedicated ext... :-( I suppose I have to live with it. ;-)

... I meant "a specific site". ;-)

I contacted the dev (who is very kind and responsive ;-) and he answered: "Apple provides an API for Extensions to perform page zooming exactly as Safari does it.
Until then we're stuck with exactly the CSS technique you've described, and the problems that come with it."
For those interested, the CSS trick I mentioned in my mail is this one: http://hints.macworld.com/article.php?story=20091019093600680
The only solution I've found is to program a hotkey zooming "manually" x times (mine is the ESC key), it's a bit boring, but you can use this technique only for the problematic sites you added to AllPagesZoom's black list.

For those of older eyes, or with vision problems, this app/extension has been a blessing.

Not many donation-ware programs prompt me to open the coffers. This is one of the exception. Indeed I have paid far more than the suggested $5.00 for apps that have not withstood the test of time. So indeed I hope others will also take a few minutes and donate what they can.

Alternatively, this extension (currently not listed on MU) saves/restores the zoom level for each visited site:

Having used this now for the past six months I'm overdue to report back that for me, with a screen resolution of 1280 x 800, this is one of the most useful extensions in Safari's collection. Without it I would be spending half my time online laboriously zooming in and out of web pages while with it a couple of clicks on the of aA buttons do the job. Thanks to the Dev for a great idea.

On today's version the minimal zoom level is 50%. Way too much as a starter except for those with big screens.. And one zoom level for all pages is simply pointless, since every web site seems to have a different width, shape and font size. What's needed is the ability to set a zoom level and font size for each individual site you visit and have the choice stick. For that you need OmniWeb and its ability to maintain firm settings for individual sites.

Well, I see that I mistook the 50% starting level as an 1/2 size increase when it's a reduction of the default size by by a half. That makes a great difference to the extension's usefulness and I apologize to the developer for my mistake. I still would prefer a way to set fixed sizes for individual sites, but I'll try this out for awhile before deciding how useful it can be for me.
