I never wrote a bad review before, but in this case I must do. As soon as you pay for the app you will never hear from them again. The app is not that good and you can forget the support on line or any support at all.

these guys are a joke.
there will never be anyone to answer your questions.
I am having problems to clean up and organising my folders. After cleaning up everything (over 100 emails), I closed the app and when I opened, all emails are back to my inbox and sent items again. Tried that several times, moving emails to folders, deleting emails etc and everything is back on its place.
It is also not reflecting my online folders.
I think I am having a problem with the Port number but can't find anyone to help me with that!

Another this is that all my emails get duplicated on sent itens.

I don't receive emails right away... I have to restart computer and open app again to see new emails.

I've been sending several emails to the company for over 3 months and NEVER got a single reply.

You can access your online mail folders (IMAP), its true, but it is a very poor application.

Worse than that is the how they just don't care about any request for support. They will never get back to you.

Not worth!

MU download is for version 1.0.2 (according to file name anyway), and the current version at the dev's site is 1.0.6.

I like this and the company's service. It does, indeed, give me all of my Hotmail folders in Apple Mail and let me move things around, etc. Essentially, I can use Hotmail in Apple Mail in a sensible, intuitive way. As the developers note, you can create a Hotmail account in Apple Mail, but it will only show the Inbox. mBox Mail gives you the whole deal.

Plus, I initially had trouble getting the program to maintain my license info, but their customer service helped me solve that in only a few hours.

And if you use Herald, it's nice to be able to see your incoming Hotmail messages!

http://www.freepops.org/ does this for free for years.

Nad Herald too but it needs Mail to remain open ...

@N-Rick -- I don't think you understand how mBox Mail for Mac works.

It does NOT access Hotmail using the POP protocol at all!! In fact a program is NOT needed at all to access the Hotmail via POP. MS now provides FREE access to Hotmail using POP.

mBox for Mac is quite different. it translates the Hotmail Web interface into the IMAP protocol. This allows you to access Hotmail via IMAP. IMAP is so much better than POP. For example, you can move messages between folders stored on the Hotmail servers. In the past, the ONLY way you could do this was via the Hotmail web interface with all the ads.

If you want to access Hotmail using IMAP, mBox Mail for Mac is the ONLY program that does this to my knowledge. Of course, I wish there was a FREE solution. But I cannot find one.

Actually this is exactly what Freepops does.

@Jack75 -- The FreePOPs website states "FreePOPs is an easily extensible program, which allows access to the most varied resources through the POP3 protocol."

FreePops uses the POP3 protocol NOT the IMAP protocol. I looked at the FreePOP docs and I see no mention of IMAP. I see only references to POP3.

And if you want to access Hotmail using POP3, you no longer need a program like FreePOPs. A few years ago, Microsoft allowed users to access their Hotmail accounts via a Desktop Client using POP3. But NOT using IMAP.

POP3 ONLY allows you to download your INBOX. IMAP syncs ALL your folders -- INBOX, SENT MAIL, etc. It is so much better.

mbox Mail is the only program I know that allows you to access your Hotmail account with your Desktop Mail program using the IMAP program. I wish it was less expensive.
