Of course it is a 4.6 to you (why not a 5?) But the developers review should not be among impartial end user reviewers (and why didn't you give it a "5" is there a problem that prevents it from being a "5")?.
The developer did not have to rate the software to post his comment as he could have done what I just did and make his review a comment.
Is there something I am missing. If I am to trust these reviews to narrow my search for software that meets my needs ratings such as this diminish this site as a useful tool. (Every developer no matter how good or bad the software from the end users point of view believes his software is a 5. And he/she should because of the work, time and effort they put into it.
This is probably an oversight by the developer but this makes me less likely to try his product until there are many many more reviews that do not appear to be linked to people who stand to make a profit from its sell.
I don't usually write this type of comment and hope the developer sees my point but this site is to valuable to have people lose faith in the reviews to the point of ignoring the site. I learn form other reviews and hope some do the same from mine but this behavior undermines the whole idea of the site.
If the developer wants to write a note telling us how his software is better than all others in the category great just do not influence the overall ratings (what users think of the software) by rating your own software!
