The process of creating a collage is simple, and has been streamlined for fast results. All you do is drop images onto the canvas, and then arrange their layout. Individual images can easily be composed (zoom, pan) directly on the canvas. If you do not like a particular layout, you can either easily re-arrange it yourself of have the application create a new layout for you.

This is important for those of us creating slideshows that mix individual photographs with multi-frame photo collages. At present, I either have to draw a border around the individual non-collaged images (and hope I get the dimensions right, as Collage does not allow you to enter a precise figure for border width) to match the border found on in the collage slides, or have slides that are incongruous, going between full-bleed slide to bordered collage slide.

I contacted the developer with a few suggestions on how to potentially make the HTML export more useful. Christian at cf/x responded very quickly with an in-depth response. I was happy to see that they take customer feedback seriously and are there to make their customers happy.
All in all this is a great app that makes an otherwise tedious task very easy... and it's backed by great people. I highly recommend trying it out if you're looking for an app like this.

Creating picture collages has never been easier - upload, compose (with auto layout and rearrange) then print, send or post!
Works like a charm!

Collage made all this a lot easier for me. The great thing with collage is its simplicity. At the first moment I was astonished that there exists a piece of software that does just one simple thing - a collage. However, by using it I realized the advantages of this; the program is extremely simple to use: Main functions are not hidden behind complex menu structures and you do not need to go through long instruction manual to know how the program works. The program offers all features to make my collages look great (drag and drop pictures from iphoto to collage, rearrange pictures within collage, move the frame and change its color and width, zoom and move pictures within a frame). The only feature I am missing is to be able to add text when I use my collage as an invite or greeting card. To do so I have to switch to Preview and add the text to the final collage within this program.
