Basically it works but you can't for example create new groups from the application. It only accepts the first word of the group name, and then all the other groups disappear until the next relaunch(!) So you have to go to the their website to manage your groups.
There is an untitled field in the lower part of the window (notes?). If you enter something and click on Save it disappears.
Conclusion:
It's not a reliable interface for the myibidder service. Seems to be safer to manage your snipes directly via their website. Considering the long-standing shabbiness of the application I tend to say it may be even safer to go back to one of the various other auction sniping services.
Mac OS X is not my primary platform. I had many users who promised to give me a feedback on the app if I start to develop it.
However, just one or two persons got back and they disappeared after that.
It looks like there is a very little interest in the app for other users so I had to put it on a low priority level until it'll change.
If you see an issue, please feel free to submit it on the forums or directly to support.
Unfortunately, if you nobody report anything, it can't be fixed.

All snipes are done using myibay.com (myibidder.com) remote server so it must connect to it to schedule your snipes.
Please feel free to check the terms for more information. It's available to public on the website:

ebay does offer a token system for transactions - I think the software should use this for authentication.
In addition to the questionable security there are some more flaws in adding auctions and updating lists. In my case I had to restart the software to reflect a change/move to a sniping list.
Regarding the refresh:
You can click File - Refresh from Server to get up-to-date information from the server. It does not do it automatically yet (still Beta version).

After clicking login this application first tries to connect to xml.myibay.com then to ssl.google-analytics.com if you block these it stops here with a "network error" dialog panel.
Even worst, this app never connects directly to ebay to authenticate an user, letting a third party handling your ebay credentials.
I understand this app uses the myibay.com services to bid without needing a computer running at the time of the bid but then what the point of this app?

It uses a remote myibay.com (also known as myibidder.com) server to schedule your snipes. Obviously, it can't do it without connecting to it.

i won my big item: sniped it for about 80% of the average selling price, which i think is good.
i've just downloaded the mac native app and see that it integrates instantly with the web based version! fantastic stuff! thank you fine folks for developing a great tool!
