The software is buggy and a pain to use. It doesn't allow to view Mac App ratings and reviews, and support has not replied or tried to debug the issue (after 14 days and a few reminders). The functionality is not even that good, and import takes a lot of time, apparently redownloading info that it has already downloaded in the past.
So what? iTC mobile is terrible. It is only for the iPhone and you have to login every time. If you use a secure password (I hope you do) then its a pain.
So what?! you mean users shall pay $50 for features exactly with another free app?
I understand my comments hurt you, and I am happy that I got minus rank since I told the truth.
if you can retrieve more than 13 days or weeks sees data or report, I would like change mu rank from 0.5 star to 5 star. Otherwise, I shall say sorry that I think this app DO NOT worth $50
um... that's because iTunes connect only gives us sales data for the past 13 days and weekly reports for the past 13 weeks. don't like that? complain to apple. not that they will do anything.
Great App! Helps me to evaluate my iTunes Apps and to monitor the competition. Nice interface. -> Do not buy the Mac App store version, since it does not offer a lot of important features. Buy the one directly at the developers web site.
Sometimes it crashes, especially if you try to do a lot of things while the app is updating its statistics. But as long as I wait for the updates to finish it works great!
I use AppStar for my Mac App Store software for 3 months now.
AppStar is great to display informations about your application and other, there is a lot of great features BUT :
AppStar has a lot of bugs, I have sended a lot of mail to support. They respond and try to fix all of my issue and sending BETA.
Some bugs have been fixed, some other never.
But when new version is ready, I see that some bugs which have been fixed are back. There is a lot of regressions with update, and now I don't know which bug are fixed with update and which come back with this update.
But what I have been seen on the net, AppStar is the best software to monitor iOS and App Store software.
Giving credit where it's due. With version 2.0 of AppStar, the author has addressed (and addressed well) my only criticism of the app's past version: At its new price, AppStar is a fantastic tool for any serious App store developer.
I have yet to dig into the other new features, but I've already purchased the app at its new price, and look forward to using it daily. It truly is a beautiful piece of software. Thanks!
Kudos to the developer here. I've been using the 30-day demo for a few days now, and I have to admit, this is a beautiful piece of software -- It presents all the info you could ask for in an easy-to-use, easy-to-read format. In fact, its presentation beats all the other apps I've tried in this arena (AppViz, AppStore Sales, MyAppSales, etc).
That said, even the greatest apps can be priced too high, and the current fee structure of AppStar ensures that I won't use the app after the trial expires. I will sorely miss it, but I cannot justify spending up to $499/year (the cost for using the app with multiple apps/accounts), when the same data can be obtained through other apps (although granted, not as nicely) for a $30 flat fee.
This app IS indeed superior to the competition in many ways, and I would even consider $100/yr for unlimited use... but at the current prices, it's just more cost effective to use a less slick app.
