I just downloaded the software to try it out, but when I try to add a record automatically, nothing happens. Any thoughts?

Really??? So if I don't know all the values, I have to enter bogus data. That means all my data has questionable integrity. Idiotic.

MusicCollector is pretty awesome compared to any other music cataloger I've tried. It actually works very similarly to a 4D application I wrote back in the 90s. And it doesn't care which values I do or don't add. In fact, I can repurpose a field if I want, even renaming it. Pretty user-friendly, IMHO. :-)

Though the UI needs some rework regarding looks.
Otherwise promising.

What do you mean when you say it is not working?
I'll look into that and see what is happening...in the mean time, you can use the "Discogs Search" menu item to add albums.

In the mean time, you should be able to sidestep this by doing a "Discogs Search", selecting an item, then closing the window if you don't need it anymore. The normal "Add by Release ID" should now work until quit.

But I can´t import more then 50 LP´s, it give always the advice to register. But I did it already, I don´t know how I can fix the SerNr in the App.
Please let me know, how I can handle it better...
Michael
You had no serial before this point so I have no idea what you put in as a serial number into the application. It was probably the PayPal transaction ID you were looking at, which is not the same as a serial number.
If you started with a version before 1.97 then this may not even be an issue for you so you can probably ignore this update.
The toggle track list feature is really great. If there was a way to do the same thing with the full credits and notes from discogs that would be fantastic. It just looks sloppy and incomplete in its current location.
I'm really excited there is finally an app that has some integration with Discogs. Most people with large collections of physical media are obsessed with organization and this app def is starting to hit that niche. There is a lot of potential for this app. I anxiously await further development of MyVinyl.
So far, I have only figured out how to sync one-way with Discogs. This means that you can add/remove/move albums within MyVinyl, go to "Recent Activity" in the "File" menu and click "Sync with Discogs" and all of the items in the list of that window will be applied.
I just haven't come up with a way to apply Discogs changes to MyVinyl...yet.
I released 1.9 TODAY! NOT ON THE 6TH!!

I'm not saying this is the case with you, but many developers have deliberately done this in the past to effectively spam our site. I hope you understand -- it's nothing deliberate or limited to MyVinyl.
I fully understand you don't want people spamming and am in concurrence with you about not front-paging it every time.
But it has been a week.

I'll make sure to wait a longer amount of time before posting a new version.
And I'll try not to be such an a$$*ole next time I have something to say.

Thank you MyVinyl for the effort.

If you don't have it, create it. Relaunch MyVinyl.
Does this work?
I've split it up into 12 files now.
Please try again with a more recent version and let me know if the problem persists.

I've posted an update to fix this and should appear on MacUpdate momentarily.
Either that or use the updater within the program.
