Simply Notes is a program to help you stay organized. All your thoughts and ideas can be kept in one place, as notes, for quick and easy access. You can create 3 kinds of notes; an audio, video, and a rich text note. You can take your notes with you on your iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch. You can even work in Full Screen Mode to eliminate distractions while using your notes. Simply Notes tracks all of the important aspects of your notes. Some good ideas, versatile

++Like rich text facility, would be better with some simple formatting on menubar

-- needs word count. Basic essential for anything that makes words.

-- Logo doesn't do it for me. Prefer clean, simple designs. This looks a bit spooky.

Pjcads had trouble on 14 May 2010

Had similar problems with crashing. Was absolutely willing to purchase this program, but did not want to chance it if they can't get it right, I don't have time to mess with apps that just don't work. Maybe they'll get it together. This could/should be a nice replacement to xPad.

Great idea, but when I tried to import some text the program crashed and now will not start. The program shows up on the screen, but crashes within 2 seconds. I trashed the preferences file which did not help. I'm so glad I didn't have important information stored in this program. 10.6.3

Sorry for your trouble Andy. I'm looking into the issue now. I suspect the database became corrupted so you can get the program working again by deleting the following folder: ~/Library/Application Support/HAMSoft Engineering/Simply Notes/. In the mean time if you identify a problem file that causes the issue another way you could put it into Simply Notes is to open the file in the normal application and copy/paste the contents into a new note.
