As a paid up GoSecure user, I was interested to try this out. Not sure if I'm missing something here but couldn't get it to work.
1. When you unzip the download you get a folder containing the app & 2 other files. With no 'ReadMe' it isn't obvious whether you drag the whole folder to your Applications folder (messy) or just the App itself. Turns out it's the whole folder, otherwise you get repeated 'Invalid SQL' warnings.
2. Having dragged the whole folder across to my apps folder, I couldn't actually get it to do anything. I created a text file, dragged it on to cuteCipher, entered and confirmed my shared secret and nothing happened. The text file was still sitting in my Documents folder and was still unencrypted (i.e. I could double-click on it and it would open showing me it's contents). Repeatedly tried to encrypt the file, but no joy.
Preferences are a bit basic, e.g. no option to delete or keep the original file after encryption. Also, there's a banner that stays on the bottom left of your screen all the time the app is running. Want to like this little app, but a bit baffled at the moment as it's not working for me.
I'll answer each point for you. First, thanks for taking the effort to write the review. If I don't know about it, I can't fix it :-)

Answer: On the current version you can drag either / or. There are no SQL warnings as the cache is recreated is it isn't located.

Answer: Yeh, I might have been a bit lax with the docs here. It actually creates the encrypted file on your desktop. I'm suspecting that you found them later after writing the review :-)

Answer: Good Call. I am adding the option to automatically delete the original. I'll be doing that tomorrow (24th July 2010). As for the banner, it's only there until you buy a serial number :-)
