Since 2010 you have been saying that you will be coming out with a system wide plug in.

So where is it?

Guess I and others will have to stay with "Hear."

For 'Hear' there is also still not Lion update. It seems to be difficult.

Overall a nice iTunes plugin.

Just noticed that it doesn't work with iTunes 10.5 beta.

Amazing sound quality, has presets for my iMac built-in speakers, desktop speakers ( Harman Kardon Soundsticks ) and my headphones ( Bose around ear ).

I was skeptical about purchasing an add-on for iTunes but glad I did, keep up the great work, and thanks.

P.S. I found this at macZot on sale

I've been a member of AARP for nearly a quarter-century. One consequence of being old is that you remember your childhood, youth, and young-man-hood as not sucking as much as they did. A reflection of that, in my case, is that I like to collect all of the music on iTunes from those "good old days." The catch is that sometimes, the sound-quality sucks donkey dick. This can be ameliorated by using different 'phones for different music. But whoTF can afford a dozen sets of headphones? DPS goes a long way toward solving that problem. Download ALL of the headphone presets! Your Sonys reproduce every nick, cut, hiss, and scratch and the vocal sounds like cats in heat? Reset DPS to Bose, Sennheiser, whatever, and, suddenly, yeuro back at the Spring Fling of 1951! The catch is that you have to do this by hand and I have no idea whether an algorithm to do this for you could be written. But it's a hell of a lot more convenient and less expensive than switching among a dozen sets of headphones. If stars could be given in a comment, DPS would get five from me!

This thing gives me . . . a roughly 2-minute demo and then insists I buy it? It takes longer to just try to find the configuration that might sound best. I'm intrigued, but I still want to tinker with it for a bit. You think you could give me 3 minutes? No sale.

DPS Plugin has the same shortfall as SRS iWOW and all the other plugins that improve the sound quality over iTunes own built-in equalizer: they are not compatible with Airport Express and cannot stream the enhanced sound to the speaker system. Interestingly, Apple's own equalizer and sound enhancing feature does support Airport Express!!

So, unless your speakers are plugged into your Mac directly, save your money!

This is not a implemented because Apple does not allow iTunes 3rd party plugins to access these features. We wish they would!

You can use Airfoil to implement this type of feature.

Also soon we will be coming out with a system wide plugin that will process all of your audio in your system.

We all know that VolumeLogic is out of the software business. So I was searching for a replacement. I compared the DPS Plugin with VolumeLogic and heard an even greater difference. The sound remastering is way better then VolumeLogic or any other plugin. It's is amazing and a must if you care about sound.
