For users of older Samsung ML-1710, ML-1740, and ML-1750 printers, which are not officially supported in 10.6/10.7, you can find a driver on the Samsung Australia web site:

http://www.samsung.com/au/support/detail/supportPrdDetail.do?menu=SP01&prd_ia_cd=&prd_mdl_cd=&prd_mdl_name=ML-1740

Download the link near the bottom of the driver tab that has the file WebLBP_SPL2.zip (Version 0.97, 04 Dec 2008). That will work for the 1710, 1740, and 1750 in 10.6 and 10.7. :-)

Also, there are some open source projects which enable printing on older Samsung printers in 10.6/10/7:

One minor change, the installer from the Samsung web site is a PPC binary, so it will only work on Snow Leopard (w/Rosetta), not Lion. Use the open source alternatives if you're on Lion.
