Menuless let's you individually change the 'Presentation Mode' of Cocoa applications (like Safari, Pages, myPhotoEdit etc.). You can apply to 'auto'hide' the Menu and the Dock when the application is running or to completely disable the dock icon Thus you can have more space on small screens and individually reduce distractions - this helps a lot to concentrate on your work. Especially when working with a small MacBook/MacBook Air.

Enjoy!

You can do the very same thing by adding "LSUIElement
1" to the Info.plist of your application.

No - this will treat the app as 'agent' - thus you cant access the menu and it wont show up in dock and you cant switch between those apps etc.

Using Dockless or your tip makes much sense when you don't want the app to show up as 'normal' application - a Twitter client for example…

Flash1296 had trouble on 10 Mar 2010
I do a 'get info' and I see that I have Read & Write privileges.

So … what do I do to "fix" this ?

I need some help here:

I repaired permissions and now 'Menuless' works with all BUT Apple's standard applications. i.e. Preview, Safari, Mail, etc.

Once again - you don't have the permissions :-)
This has nothing to do with repaired permissions - you must explicitly apply those permissions with Finder (cmd+I) or Terminal

This is a useful appl' that I would like to have; but it fails for me, claiming that my permissions are wrong, but hat does not seem to be the case.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem ?

Than the permissions are wrong :-))

You can test it with a 'Non-Apple' application (drag onto your desktop) - you can even use Menuless to test it - as long as you have the permissions to touch the file it will work!
