Just take care at the Archive Saves function: you better watch close to know how it works, before you create a big mess in your folder.

This is an invaluable little app and... I wish one thing could be added: I wish that starting up iwork would cause autosave4iwork to start up and then when I quit iwork, autosave4iwork would quit. It would be nice to not always have the menulet running especially those of us without large monitors. Besides this? Fantastic and thank you.

maybe a good idea: you include all standard macosx-applications (like textedit) and an option to add other applications which should perform an auto-save

Thank you for the suggestion, however, this project was intended to remain simple, small, and specific to iWork. As of MacOS X 10.5 Leopard, TextEdit includes an autosave feature. It is located under TextEdit's "Open and Save" preferences.

For the additional functionality you mentioned, I may suggest ForeverSave from Tool Force Software. It has features similar to what you request, and is only $15. It has also been featured on mupromo.com, so you might even get it for for cheaper.
