I originally developed Tweeter without the "Auto update" feature because I felt that tweeting a song playing to twitter every 3 to 4 minutes is just too much. However, many users requested this feature so I added it as an option.

I personally wouldn't use the Auto update feature because I wouldn't want to spam my Twitter feed but Tweeter is super useful in telling your followers about cool songs and help them discover them with the last.fm links.

What's not to like about getting a tweet from a follower listening to a song that you have never heard before, click on the las.fm link (shortened by bit.ly) and listen to the song directly in the browser.

I would rather have a "paid" version where I can remove #TweeterForMac

The fact that this is added without any advance notification (and no way to turn it off) is not ethical.

Note that the screenshot of the Growl notification doesn't even show this #TweeterForMac as appended.

First, I'd like to thank you for downloading my Twitter Application. I just wanted to let you know that your comments aren't going unnoticed.. stay tuned for an update that will allow the features you have suggested. Sorry for the screen shots on the site mismatching the application. I am the sole dev on this project that I do on my free time our side of work. Things can slip by every once and a while.

Agreed! I was just wondering this morning why no one had written a iTunes to Twitter auto post app. Hopefully this will be added, and soon.

This has also been noted and I will add this to the next release of Tweeter.

Also, the best way to suggest features like this would be to use the "Provide Feedback.." from within the application or @TweeterForMac reply me on Twitter. That would be the best because I didn't even know my application was being hosted on MacUpdate until this morning :-P

Any hope of this being updated for Lion? It's a slick looking app.. I'd buy the guy more than just a "cup of coffee" if I knew it was going to work.. kinda wish it was open source if not, at least I could try my hand at compiling it in Xcode 4.2 on 10.7.2 just to see if it'd go.

Upgraded yesterday to new version.

Now iTunes won't quit when Tweeter is running (restarts everytime). When I first quit Tweeter and then quit iTunes, all is fine.

This didn't occur in the previous version. Please correct this!

My fault. This is occuring because I added Album art to notifications and the menu bar. I will fix and push out a new update as soon as possible. Thank you for the catch.

Also, sorry I didn't catch this when testing. It is tough to catch certain use cases then the only developer is the only person testing the application before the release.

I have fixed the regression bug that would relaunch iTunes when trying to close iTunes when Tweeter is running. Tweeter verison 2.0.1.2 is now live.
