Tales of Monkey Island: An epic adventure in five parts.
While explosively stripping the evil pirate LeChuck of his demonic mojo, Guybrush Threepwood inadvertently infects the entire Caribbean with the arch-fiend's expelled voodoo, which threatens to transform buccaneers into unruly pirate monsters. Pursued by a notorious cut-throat Pirate Hunter and a creepy French Physician who believes that Guybrush's eerily-infected hand holds the secret of eternal life, Threepwood sails the seven seas in search of La Esponja Grande, a legendary sea sponge with unparalleled voodoo
This is a fun game. In case you were going to see if it works on your MacBook with Intel Graphics, save your bandwidth as it runs at a snails pace and completely unplayable.
Really? Is this a fun game?
I wouldn't know. I should know, because I bought all five of the Monkey Island Games SIX MONTHS AGO, but never received an activation although requested repeatedly through email, on the forum, etc. These people never answer.
Sure, they hide behind the suggestion that they may not have received my requests or that their answer might have ended up in my junk mail folder, etc. Unfortunately for them, none of these arguments make any sense, because I did receive the support tickets (that they do not follow up), which proves that their does not end up in my junk mail folder and that they did receive my requests.
I have had it big time with this bunch of liars and cheats. Their conduct of business is nothing less than fraud and I will take steps accordingly.
My advice to you: stay as far away from these money grabbers as you can. Unless you have a strong desire to post a similar comment anytime soon.
Having played this series under Windows, I'm delighted to see it on the Mac.
Best of all, Telltale are letting those who originally paid for the Windows version of the game also download the Mac version.
In terms of gameplay, this series of games brings us back to some of the quirkier humour of the Monkey Island series of games. There are plenty of pop culture references, as well as a few more 'adult' themed jokes. (Don't worry, they are subtle and work on several levels so that younger game players won't be exposed to anything blatantly risqué.)
The puzzles are all solvable, but you really need lateral thinking for some of them. There is a hint system in the game, but it is location specific, so it won't always give a hint that will help. Particularly if there is another task that needs to be completed first.
Tales of Monkey Island is definitely a fun series of games to play. Now I hope that Telltale will manage to convert the rest of their back catalogue soon so that I can try the Sam & Max games.

But little does Guybrush know, his quest is part of a larger, more sinister plot, and good and evil are not always as they seem…
Who can Guybrush trust? Where can he turn? Everything you think you know will be challenged as Tales of Monkey Island builds to its unexpected finale!
