SafariSingleWindow is a SIMBL/PlugSuit plugin for Safari that forces all links that would open in new windows to open in new tabs instead.
No configuration is necessary, just open the .dmg file, run Install, and restart Safari. To uninstall, simply run Uninstall from the .dmg.
If you experience any problems, check Console for lines starting with [SafariSingleWindow]. If you see any, copy them and email them to me, and I'll see what I can do to fix it.
Requirements
PPC / Intel, Mac OS X 10.6 or later, Safari.
@SJK: that info is misleading. The plist setting may be experimental but has worked from Safari 3 up (now at Safari 4.0.4). And for me, it also catches scripted windows or popups. So well, in fact, that I am once in while tempted to reverse the setting because legitimate popups also open in new tabs.
My intention was simply to mention that the developer is aware of com.apple.Safari TargetedClicksCreateTabs, regardless of the (in)accuracy of the FAQ content.
