This software could have great potential, but sadly in reality it crashes constantly which makes it unworkable. I tried it out on a mac running Lion and used one of the templates; I deleted the text in the template and proceeded to use the two separate image objects but when attempting to move the second object it kept crashing, for some reason it allowed me to move the first object but repeatedly crashes and aborts when trying to move the second.

If they could address the crashing and implement some needed edit features that are more professional as the title suggest, then thats a start. Price is bizarre in its current state, needs to be one tenth what it is once they sort out the crashing problems, then increase the price a little when they incorporate much needed essential basic features (i.e. opaque/transparencies and much more besides) and only then put the price back up once they incorporate truly professional features.

Oh and put a demo out!

But all's not lost, as I said it has potential and is currently at the 'make and break point', therefore if they take note and practice the above then this could have a happy ending and Logo Design Studio 'Pro' may soon or eventually be a very worthy piece of software.

My company's logo was getting older and i decided to update it to make sure it looks more professional. I decided to design the logo myself without taking help of anyone else.I was searching for various softwares and I thought - hey, this says "professional logos made easy..." on the box. Basically it sucked. Could not import any of my own extensive library of clip art, and the art that came with the software was horrible. Could not create a simple name logo without an opaque background, so what I created was essentially useless, unless inserted onto a solid white document.

Okay. What follows is a very biased opinion based on my absolutely horrendous experience with this company and the trash app they call Logo Design Studio Pro:

It stink! I purchased this over a year ago (December 2008) along with the extra designs they sell. All total over $100 for this. IT DOES NOT WORK! Oh yes, I was able to get it to make some designs, but weird things started to happen, like reversed images and crashes.

Now don't get me started about their support. It took me over three weeks after an initial initial inquiry to get them to respond, wither through their online service or through email. Finally, after repeated warning that I was going to report them to the BBB and Attorney General's office of Nebraska (where they are located) I got some response. They were unable to fix the problems I was having and I asked for a refund. After several more weeks and a couple more Attorney General warnings from me, I was able to get the refund.

Friends. There's a reason the LDSP is not on MacUpdate as a reviewed app---At least not when I was working with it. Even at this price, it is not worth it. Even free, I wouldn't want it.

Read the other reviews. Don't take my word for it. Read my other reviews. I have never been this negative about a product or a company!

DO NOT BUY!
