One small complaint, it cuts off the last second or two of the video, but this isn't a big deal. Very happy with this, thanks very much.

The only I could suggest is to add WMV video capture. Many sites use this format. Therefore I've set four for features.

If you're in a situation where FLV spider has video files it won't let you delete, do the following.
1. Open terminal and type "lsof" (minus quotes.)
2. Search through the output (You may want to copy the output from terminal into a text editor.) for a path starting with "/private/var/folders/" After that, you'll see what appear to be many random characters, but toward the end, you'll see "/com.mp3flv.flvspider/" At the very end of the path, you'll see ".flv"
3. Copy the entire path. It will probably look something like this:
/private/var/folders/5x/n00hxp2rddz0d93ieud50x_h0000gn/T/com.mp3flv.flvspider/cap/templwJi.flv
4. Then, using terminal, type "rm" and paste your whole path to the file. Then press enter. That will remove the cached file that FLV spider wants you to pay to be able to remove.
I'm disgusted by this. And I can tell you this: anyone who would make their software work in this manner will never see one penny of my money. >:-(

Second: I can suggest a simpler approach to clear the cache - just reboot your Mac.

However, I stand by my opinion. The ability to delete a file from my own computer is not something I believe I should have to pay for, shareware and EULAs notwithstanding. I'm very interested in what argument you would present to the contrary. Why do you think that making the "delete" function available only in the "pro" version is a good idea and a good way to market your product?
The experience left a bad taste in my mouth and, as a result, I will not be doing business with you. If you're cool with that, that's fine. But I would imagine I'm not alone.
Additionally, your argument that rebooting to delete the temp file(s) is a "simpler approach," would be an inaccurate assumption in my case (and others, I would imagine.) My computer acts as a server for several users both in my building as well as others via the 'net. I can't reboot on a whim without potentially affecting others.

>>The ability to delete a file from my own computer is not something I believe I should have to pay for
Did we protect the temp files in any manner from deletion??? You've described the procedure yourself. You even can write a script, if you wish. What do you wish from us after that??? Do you wish a button? OK, no problem. It means you LIKE this software and CONSIDER TO USE IT IN FUTURE. But if so, then (according to the EULA, which you've accepted) you MUST pay for it:
/from the EULA:
3.2. You may use this software according to this free license for evaluation purposes for the period of 30 days./
"evaluation" doesn't assume you will have an ability to use this software endlessly. But you wish just to do it.
>> My computer acts as a server for several users
Wonderful! Then write a script and post it here :) Hope your honor will be satisfied after that :)
Many people answered here, and many of them complained to some _real_ and _significant_ misfunctioning of this software. We can understand these users and we're doing our best to fix any problems, they report about.
Yet a single person appears for three years, who complains for the DEMO VERSION LIMITATION. Do you assume that everything else is fine? If it is then we're just happy!

But even if I did get a valid stream saved, there seems to be no way for FLV Spider to open it. The menu option in the File menu is completely absent. Is this a Pro-only feature? There is nothing to indicate this in the help file and it looks like the Pro features are normally indicated by a grayed-out menu item.
Has anyone else tried it successfully?
Help is from version 2! As for me I'm just opening the Spider then opening the browser and click the web video player Play button. It's very important to open the web player AFTER the Spider.
Spider's support guys were very quick and friendly with me, so I'm sure they can help if you'll provide the web page URL of your video.
As for Packet Peeper, it was all for version 2.
This option is removed in new version. As I believe it is not required, because v3 does all the same natively.

And of course, please let us know if any URL doesn't work for you. We can't test our software with the whole Internet, hope everyone understand it... We'll do our best to help you.
These URL's were tested among many other:
Deluxe Music (http://deluxemusic.tv/en/)
105 Web TV (http://video.105.net/tv/channel/show/id/44)
CBS News Video (http://www.cbsnews.com/video/)

Once again this developer beats records in terms of security paranoia at the expense of users.

So, step by step:
>>BEWARE: this app is proposing an online update that destroys the previous version....
Do you know how update usually works? Hope yes. Then why not to backup your existing version if you like it so much? It's just one mouse clock -- just right-click the app and choose "Duplicate" menu item. What's easier?
>>it asks for an activation code that was not provided
... and there is "Get Code" button, which takes you to a very simple procedure.
>>and is pretendedly sent by email (address not recalled nor modifiable)
Yes, because it's your address, specified in the order. Just do not specify a junk email address when you make a purchase. We never send spam to your address. Be sure -- we do our money in another way. And we hope you like our way :)
>>Then, when this reference is typed, the activation code is NOT emailed (at least within hours) and FLV becomes inaccessible.
Just two thoughts: 1) backup (see above) and 2) We're sorry, but we can't control your mailbox activity. The email is sent immediately from our web server, no doubts here.
>>Once again this developer beats records in terms of security paranoia at the expense of users.
"security paranoia" is to beware of spam from software developers. Just keep your activation code in a secure place. In this case you'll be free from any emailing in future. To enter your activation code again - this is the maximum of what you will need to do in future. And even not every software version update will require it.
Happy 2012 to everyone!

As for problems with video capturing in version 2.0.2 and 2.0.3, those problems were caused by new versions of Flash Player, where Flash Video was cached in a different way. Latest Flash Player 10.2 also has changes, which should be reflected in the FLV Spider. New FLV Spider 2.0.4 works with Flash Player 10.2 correctly.
FLV Spider was tested with both Safari, FireFox and Chrome and works with all of them.
We appreciate any bug/problem reports, they will help us to keep the software up to date.
Thanks to all users of FLV Spider!

I should advice to change asap from version 2.0.2 to 2.0.3, and to do it following the procedure started with the "help" menu. Otherwise, the new version may not worked as expected.

saving time isn't really my priority...
having a good work done IS...
anyway, this application will make you all save a lot of time.. in fact since it doesn't even open nor on ppc neither on intel.. just crashes on launch.. you can avoid to dowload it :D
