Very basic, limited features. Pretty interface. Not a serious contender in the note taking and information management alternatives for Macs.

Bought this back in April 2011 and was willing to wait for promised implementations. We are 3 months from a year and not one has been made. In fact no updates at all that I can remember. This app had so much potential but I am moving on. Another developer that over promised and delivered not much so far. This app has the bones to become indispensable but not as it stands now. Animation continues to be slow and it's just an over priced note pad as it stands. My bad for buying.

Got this a while back from a promo (from Macbuzzer). I like it overall, but it's slow, and the UI effects / animations seem like they'd be nice, but they're choppy and unattractive because of this. Fix that and I'd give it a better review. Also wow, $34.50? Hell, I'm glad I got this for free, because there's no way I'd pay that much for this. Overpriced for what it does, IMO.

Nice Job. This app is great and I have only been trying it for a few days. I love the clean sleek UI and the ease of access for quick notes, etc. I like others here have used Circus Ponies notebook and all the others (and many of them are good for more complicated or specific notes needs) but Thoughts is easier to work with. Yes it does lack some of the features of a CPN or Devonthink Pro but IMHO that might just be what makes it better. I agree with a previous poster who says this has the makings of a great app. When I want to jot down a quick note for later, or grab a bit of info to use later I don't want to have to figure out the program or remember how to utilize some overly complicated process. CPN has not kept up for the casual user (some software devs are good at keeping the app simple while making it very powerful…CPN is not one of them). I say that because CPN is the best for structured and research notes but not for right now unimportant to anyone but me notes, like gathering shopping comparisons or grabbing directions from a web site that I will erase once used. The trick here is the ease of keeping track of your bits of info and the separate notebooks make organizing/finding the info very easier than spending lots of time tagging for me. I can easily and quickly start a notebook about whatever I am working on and just delete it when I am finished. I contacted the dev to ask about the programs ability to sync with dropbox (as some database programs do not do well over the long run when cloud syncing). However the devs response was quick and helpful. I will buy but have one more question…do I have to buy two licenses for one person on two machines? I will with hold a 5 rating until a few more features are added. GREAT JOB!!!

Sorry but for the money it has about 1/10th the features of either CP Notebook or MacJournal. It's a nice design but I think the developer is charging far too much for this considering the extremely bare-bones feature-set. Keep going a few more years and it MAY be worth what you're asking.

In my opinion, this has the makings for a truly great application for the Mac. It has similarities to Microsoft Notes. It seems to be a great way to organize all your notes relating to a project. The graphics are very elegant - well done. I'm still in a trial period with this software and intend to return with a full review as soon as my time frees up. I hope the developers stick with this project and build it into a first class application. Apple should consider buying this application and rolling it into iWork.

I got this recently as part of the Macbuzzer bundle, and so far I like it a lot. The interface is polished and pleasant, and the little touches like the cover graphic and animated page turns make for a nice writing environment that's welcoming enough even for someone who's as blank-page-phobic as I am. However, it is admittedly stark in terms of features, as the app is, at this point, more like a prettified version of TextEdit with some basic entry organization added in. Don't get me wrong; it's off to a great start, but I hope to see some "must-have" features added in the future, such as: - Import? I can't seem to find it in the menus. Correct me if I've missed it somehow. - Whole book export to formats other than .thoughts. - Tagging - Password protection - Lists that can be re-ordered on the fly; would be great for outlines. - Subsections I've used many other note-taking / journal apps such as MacJournal and Circus Ponies Notebook, both of which have their own strengths, but I prefer Thoughts' friendly interface to both of them. For a 1.0.x release, Thoughts is a solid app. With a few improvements, it would become my note-taking app of choice. For now, though, I'll use it for casual writing, but will probably stick to more feature complete apps for serious note-taking.

How many times have you already tried to structure their lives? And how many times have you come? I do not think that the number of times will be greatly increases even more, though, even if it is (especially if) it means only that once and for all you have to order his life failed. You're not to blame - just paper diaries have become a shameful anachronism, and electronic often either not suitable or phobic fear. True, there is one application that can change the situation. First, it is convenient. Secondly, beautifully. And, thirdly, easy to use as the Bulgarian pepper. Annex Thoughts from the company Green & slimy. Its essence is to help you structure your life, literally spread out all on shelves. Executing the program, you get a bookshelf, which will be to arrange a book with personal accounts. Each book you want to assign the title and immediately after that you can begin to wage it. The developers claim that these books are perfect for recording plans, schedules and addresses. But there also come in useful to settle the schedule landing greenhouse plants, the names of all debtors and personal memories - everything your heart desires. When completing the book (these pages) it is possible to use tables and lists, adjust the text alignment, color, size and typeface of fonts, add links to websites and photos. And then export the contents of formats. Pdf,. Doc,. Rtf and. Odt. To some, this program may seem too simple, and Non-configurable, someone, on the contrary, these qualities is seen as a major plus. Well, clearly it is pleasant to those who at one time kept diaries and wrote in his diary "by hand". On my own I will say that the program is wonderful! Sincerely Vitaly!

I like the look of it but doesn't seem anywhere as near as useful and versatile as Circus Ponies Notebook

Love this app...its fast... the interface is sleek and easy to use. My only gripe is when inserting images in the notebook, i cannot resize it on the spot (or it's just me?). Hoping that developer will add some more useful functions. Otherwise great app!
