Thank you, Mr Mathewson, for your efforts. Having begun Hindi lessons a couple of months ago, I appreciate the ability to generate and export beautifully typeset Devanagari script.

The near-daily updates to this application really end up spamming the MacUpdate RSS feeds.

I am sorry about "Spamming" the RSS feed; however, I do believe that people deserve up-to-date bugfixes and improvements as and when they are implemented rather than having to wait around for 2-3 weeks when the very bug that has been fixed might be slowing their work down.

Recently I felt reasonably comfortable with Devawriter and left it "sitting" at 1.0.9.3; then, after some 2 weeks I released version 1.1; only the day after to find a few bugs relating to conjunct consonants: hence version 1.1.0.1.

If you wish to continue this further and/or discuss it please mail me at richmondmathewson@gmail. com under the heading "Devawriter Bugs".

sincerely, Richmond Mathewson

Very good effort and will be much appreciated if it works.
The program keeps asking to download the Sanskrit2003 Font even after it has been installed! and would not start!
I really hope to use this program, so plese fix it.

Yes, I had the same issue. I downloaded the font and Devawriter would not recognize it. I assume it's because of Snow Leopards new font requirements. So, I converted the font from windows ttf to mac ttf and now it works. I suggest the developer include the font in the package if it's required. Also, this looks very much like a beta release, the interface needs a lot of work - tidying up. I do hope the developer keeps working on it, it has potential.
