AddressUpdate is a free utility that monitors your Mac OS X Address Book database for changes. Whenever such a change occurs, for example when editing or creating a contact, it will try to retrieve additional information about that contact from the Internet - based on any given telephone number of your contact.

The search sites are for Sweden at this point - I live there, so it works great for me. We are very lucky to have a couple of websites, where it is easy to do lookups.
However, the way it is set up makes it is very easy to add definitions for other sites - I added one for the UK myself (even though the UK is not as search friendly) - using RoyalMail to do postcodes & BT for numbers.
I'd been using Ovolabs phlink, with an applescript, to do caller lookups, which then add the name - hopefully, I can now use this to complete the vcard info (with a bit of tweaking to include it in my workflow).
Given that it is only at 0.9.1 - it can only get better. Free is even better.

Given the version number indicates possible beta product or Shareware in the future, with no cost indicated as yet, frankly I have better things to devote my time to right now then to try and get this product working for US contacts.
