XBolo is a clone of the classic game Bolo written by Stuart Cheshire in the late 80's. It's a multiplayer action/strategy tank game played over the internet or LAN where 2 or more people can battle.

Wow, what a trip down memory lane! I remember making map after map and watching people play for hours on them. This is such a wonderful game. Yes, the graphics are primitive, but skill, tactics and passion are what make a good game. I hope this is just the beginning of a new era for Bolo.

There seems to be a bit of an issue with the scrolling of the window, but aside from that, it runs beautifully.

I am really anxious for a good map editor and I will start making maps again for everyone.

This is a faithful reproduction of a timeless classic, with much-improved networking and a wider field of view.

XBolo offers deep multiplayer action/strategy. Anyone can learn the controls and game environment in minutes, but the depth offered can keep you busy for years.

Don't let the 80s-style graphics fool you: XBolo is a sophisticated and tremendously fun game.

One final note: XBolo is an inherently multiplayer game. It's not much fun by yourself. Hunt up some friends and give it a try!
