Just tried the software out and Yes it does have several key advantages over the built in function I mentioned in a previous post. It worked well here and if you need to switch keyboards per app then this is the software for you. The advantage is that this software keeps your setting per app so the next time you start an app it opens in the keyboard or language set.
Ok, I have not tried this software but... OSX already has this ability built in. Open 'languages' pref pane and you can select to use a different layout per app and assign hot keys to switch as well.
OS X allows you to switch language per-document only. It doesn't let you to set neither per-application language, nor set default language for application/document. Also, I found it kinda flaky with many applications. Polyglot solves this problem.
