This is the driver software that allows you to use the 2-button USB Logitech Wheel Mouse on your USB-based Mac.
Installed on OS9 for a Logitech Mouse used at work, and no problems at all, OS9 is now a lot more efficient for me to use.
Installed and operates with no problems.
Installed Logitech mouse software 4.0.6 on G3 desktop, operating on OS9.2.2 with 3rd party usb PCI card and all functions are OK and control panels fine. Do not get the same result on G3 laptop again with OS9.2.2 which shows mouse not connected in control panel and only the 2 basic buttons function, thus no scrolling capabilty.
Apple download site quoted with mouse manual is not available. Not happy at all with support from Apple on drivers.
Don't download no good.
No support for OS 6.22.. If people are going to complain about a old OS I might as well complain about an older one. Very bad support..
Well, if people are going to be ignorant of an OS that half of the Mac population still use, then I'll just have to call them on it.
9.2.2 is still shipped on every Mac sold today, get a clue.
NO it is NOT, not anymore.
YOU get a clue.
Why don't you simply stop trolling and stay in the OS X section -- seems as if you have no reason to be here (except to cause trouble) if YOU don't have 9.x.x installed.
There are still quite a lot of users using OS 9 only, and still more who use BOTH 9 & X, regardless of whether 9.2.2 is shipping -- or for that matter even enabled -- on currently shipping Macs; and regardless of the fact that Macs will be shipping with Intel processors at the beginning of '06.
One of the reasons I still come back to OS 9 occasionally is that there are some applications and games which do not translate well (if at all) to OS X's Classic environment. One happens to be a classic game, Deus Ex; a game which *many* other Mac users still go back to OS 9 to play.
very very bad support. Dont buy logitech
All mac USB keybords and mouses are Logitech.
But this software sucks I couldn't even get the installer to work.
The software works well (OS 9.2.2) if you get it working.
I went through the installation without the software detecting a third party usb pci card. Then I restart and my machine hangs after loading the extensions. Restarting with extensions off doesn't alleviate the hang (occurs just before login window displays). Restarting one final time with the logitech receiver unplugged did the trick.
Never Restart you machine again and enjoy the product.
Mouseware is not working. No 'smart scroll' control panel loaded. nothing scrolls. Logitech's own website only has OSX drivers, nothing for OS9. and everything for Windows only.
Really BAD support.
I have the same problem: after installation, the right and scroll mouse tasts do not work and don not apper in the mask.
How can I solve it?
the same problem here with this MouseWare and Mac OS 9.2.2,
looking everywhere for a solution.
This is at least as good as the far more expensive Kensington model
