Babylon is a translation tool. It translates single words, text, phrases, and expressions. Translation is carried out by placing the cursor over a word, and hitting an activation combination. (either keyboard, or keyboard + mouse).
When a word is clicked, the surrounding text is also being analyzed for context translation and text translation. For example, Hot Dog, Translating the word Hot will also refer to Dog. You will get a translation for both Hot, and Hot Dog.

What's New
Version 2.0.1: Release notes were unavailable when this listing was updated.
Requirements
Intel,
Mac OS X 10.5 or later.
Internet connection: Required only for registration.
Version 3 for Mac is supposedly 'fully compatible' with mac office 2011. It is not. I have contacted customer 'service' but all they did was try to tell me more of their 'premium' content.
The program crashes constantly. Mac support or integration is an afterthought.
The whole experience was horrible. Nor redeeming qualities whatsoever, and the 'customer service' department is really a sales staff.
I'm looking for an equivalent program. Have not found any for Mac, any suggestions?
This version is quite old and not easy to use. The new version is 3.x but we cannot try before buy. Hope that the publisher allow us try before buy to see how the MAC version compare with the WINDOWS version.
People beware and stay away from this software as well as from Babylon Ltd. The Mac software doesn´t work at all and the so called customer support isn´t reacting in any way. This is one of the worst experiences I ever made ... and I paid a lot for it ...
Well nothing special after all the usual translation application with always the common lack of "living languages", id say yet another ordinary useless application.
since ultralingua does the same better and with much more accurate precision
