I too paid for this. I suppose like France the developer has gone bankrupt and has his credit rating reduced.

The owner of Radio Gaga is a Mr. Laurent Marteau in France. His direct email address is lmarteau@transeo.com

I am also pissed. I paid for this service and it is just gone.

Yes, let's hope the developer has a VERY good reason for dissapearing and leaving his customers bereft (betheft?); otherwise he might have to confront some very harsh future lives (if not the rest of his actual one).

Unbelievable, it seems RadioGaga simply doesn't exist anymore. No warning, no information, no refund, nothing. Can't treat customers this way.

The service is down. Not anymore a web page, no server, nothing. Not the best way to treat customers. Was expensive enough and I bought 3 licenses

No server. No site. I can seem to still add stations manually. I was planning on clearing up and reloading my Mac Mini...looks like that will be the end of Radio Gaga without being able to activate the software license.

Indeed, it is really shocking: the website does no longer exist and redirects to a page of advertisements. People like me who paid for a license are just left with a piece of software that does no longer work. I can understand that some businesses sometimes go bankrupt: but at least, the developer could provide some explanation on MacUpdate. And since the domain name's owner is made anonymous through a Whois Protection Service, it is just impossible to know his identity.

10 October 2011: Is Radio Gaga still in business, or did it go ga-ga, bye-bye? I have three licenses, and I used this app in the past. I like it. But I haven't used it quite a while.

Today, I launched it, but I got a message saying the app could not connect to its server and that the server may be down for maintenance. So, I tried to connect to the developer's site, and I got a "Gaga Factory" page that is not at all related to the product and looks nothing like the actual developer site.

In my humble opinion, this is poor management, no matter how good the actual app may be. Any developer that provides an Internet-based service that is intrinsically based upon its server being operational ought to have a redundant server somewhere, even in another country, if necessary, to provide uninterrupted service.

Similarly, any developer which puts its informational website, home page, instructional manual, tech support, and all other information on the same single server where it also provides a radio station service that occasionally goes down for "maintenance" is quite a few beers shy of a six-pack. Such a developer is hardly worthy of support. After all, they don't provide any. What entitles them to get any ... in the form of paying customers?

Accordingly, I have downgraded my rating for this app, by taking into consideration that Radio Gaga is a SERVICE, not merely an app. Features rank high; but value and stability rank low.

This app does exactly what it says. Yes - it's not necessarily exact when it records, but, you can fix that with iTunes, or, re-record any song several times and pick the best outcome.
The Gaga people will never be able to enforce standardization by the internet radio operators. Therefore, it will never produce perfect recording results.

I have tried to add a new radio station and it won't accept it (it was somafm's Secret Agent). somafm's Groove Salad is already in Radio Gaga, but for some reason the app won't accept Secret Agent. I tried adding several other somfm stations, and it won't accept them either. I tried adding all of the different types of links to the stations that somafm provides on it's website, but no joy.

This would be a great app if it weren't for that one problem. It's a bit restrictive to limit a user to preset stations without the ability to add more on their own, I hope that this is just a bug with this release. I will stick with iNet Stream Archiver for now.

On a side note...users also cannot delete (or reset) any of the information in the most listened to radios list. It would be great if this was customizable, it would provide a quick reference list of custom stations without having to create a radio list for each.

I had the same SomaFM problem (can't add them). Strangely enough, some of the SomaFM radios already are in the RadioGaga list (under different genres), but I wasn't be able to find SecretAgent.

DONT BUY THIS SOFTWARE!!!!

The programma is nice, but your bought registration key is not accepted, because the server that should check it, is out of order!!!

So, you give out 22 euro for nothing...., because when the key isn't accepted, the programm won't work...

I paid for this thing; however, I'm unable to get any download list in the "Pop" genre. I get the other genres I'm interested in. Every time I try the "Pop genre I get, "Radio Gaga could not receive information from the radio list server." I've tried morning, noon and night-is there a problem???

I Solved the problem on my own of not getting the stations to play. Here is the solution: It is SIMPLE! If you have Glimmer Blocker as I do go to the first pane and DEACTIVATE it (Just so you can use Radio GAGA you can reactivate it later) ALL stations will now play!

Works fine, but it won't export to itunes, which is the main reason I purchased it. It just hangs endlessly saying "Exporting tracks to iTunes". Wrote to support and they were no help. Told me I had to make sure iTunes was launching??? I'm not an idiot.

Radio Gaga is the ultimate Internet radio multi-recorder. Listen to 10,000+ Internet radio stations.

The world of Internet radio is vast and eclectic. With an endless number of radio stations streaming music, you can listen to just about anything you want. Radio Gaga contains an automatically updated directory of 10,000+ radio stations from around the world, separated into genres, so you can easily find the stations you want to listen to.

Multi-record dozens of radio stations simultaneously
Radio Gaga is the ultimate Mac program for not only listening to Internet radio stations, but also for multi-recording them. Radio Gaga can multi-record as many streams as your bandwidth allows, and save the resulting songs in MP3 format, trimmed and tagged for export to iTunes (of course, without DRM). Radio Gaga even has filters, so you can record only the music you like and ignore the rest.

Record when you're away; listen when you're home
Listening is one thing, but you're not always available when the programs or music you like are on. You can use Radio Gaga's schedule feature to set up one-off or regular recording sessions, so you can listen when you want. You can even set up multiple recording sessions, for as many streams and at as many times as you want. The only limits are your bandwidth and your hard disk space. Radio Gaga saves the resulting recordings in its Tracks library where you can sort your music, listen to it, and export it to your iTunes library with a single click.

Stay in control
Listen to radios and recorded tracks on your Mac, and keep Radio Gaga out of the way. Use the program's mini-controller to control playback and volume. It floats above your other windows so the controls are always a click away.

A world of choice
Radio Gaga finds radio stations from around the world, and separates them into genres, helping you find the stations you want to listen to. With 27 genres (rock, dance, folk, metal, pop, classical, jazz, alternative, ambient and much more), and over 10,000 radio stations, you'll never need to listen to silence again. Its directory is automatically updated, so you always have the largest selection of Internet radio stations possible.

Add more radio stations
If you know of a radio station that's not in our automatically-updated library of 10,000+ Internet radio stations, add it yourself. Make sure to submit it to the Radio Gaga team so we can add it to our directory of stations. add new radios

Save songs and fill your iTunes library
Radio Gaga doesn't just record music and save it in anonymous files. Radio Gaga splits the recordings into tracks, and - depending on the program information provided by the radio stations you record - tags the songs and adds them to your Radio Gaga library. Select the songs you want to keep and one click adds them to iTunes so you can put them on your iPod.

Please Note Radio Gaga can be installed and used on up to 3 Macs concurrently. If you want to install it on more Macs, you must first Deauthorize one of the installations you have already made (which can be done from within the application).
