Brilliantly done. Was thrilled to find a worthy successor to the now defunct Dragster, and Dropzone is far more stable and graphicaly pleasing, and offered at a great price. Many users, myself included, have expressed objections, some of them legitimate to the Apple Store and the compromises that developers have made—in some cases had to make—to adapt. I'm not going to respond here to the posts below that focus on this controversy rather than on reviewing the product. Note that the developer has made an end run around the "no demo" complaint against the App Store by making an earlier version available for download, but the new and improved version 2.0+ is far more realized than the downloadable demo—and it still sold me. Circles is brilliant, fast, and fun to use. Worth twice the App Store price, IMO—and for the cynics in the group: No, I have no affiliation with the developer, who is impressively responsive, by the way. I'm a satisfied user. Buy this one; you will be, too.
I'm giving this a one because I bought it in January but not from the Appstore and there doesn't seem to be any upgrade path. So sick of developers using the Appstore as a means to fleece previous customers of another purchase price if they want to keep the app current.
Anyone thinking of buying this should be aware that post-1.0 updates will now only be available through the App Store - with no upgrade path for people who registered before the App Store release:
I give it 5 stars just for making ImageShack so easy. I also use it for drag-and-drop FTP uploads, clearing stuff off my desktop, and for holding all those little utilities that I need fast access to but don't want cluttering up the Dock.
* this generations quality
* easy way to go to my personal needs
* safe and cool
i love it, i think the next update should put youtube connections, that would be allot easier for me to upload my videos without opening my internet browser. ;)
Great application. I use it all the time as a droplet for uploading files to my ftp server, it is also great at making quick uploads to imageshack. Definitely give it a shot.
Interesting app, but I don't want to give-up 81 MB RAM memory for this application. Even if you don't have any action in the control pane, still it consumes 56 MB. :(
Version 3.1 has been nothing but trouble. The new Dock placement is confusing .... the app does not activate when it should. Not knowing that the program is actually running is should be looked at. So all in all a program I rely on dally does not operate. FIX PLEASE

Sometimes you want to keep an application quickly available, but you don't want it taking up space in your Dock. Simply add it to your Dropzone grid, and then you can launch the app by clicking on it in Dropzones grid, or you can drag files or folders onto it.
Install Applications
Drag a DMG onto the Install Application destination, and Dropzone mounts the disk image, finds the application inside, copies it to your applications folder, launches it, ejects the disk image and moves it to the trash for you.
Flickr Upload
Drop a bunch of pictures on to the Flickr Upload destination and Dropzone uploads them for you. It can even copy the direct image URL to the clipboard so you can paste it to a friend. You can also setup multiple accounts.
FTP Upload
You can setup as many FTP servers as you like with Dropzone. If you hold down option while dragging, Dropzone will even zip up the files or folders for you before uploading and put the URL on the clipboard.
Save Text
Drop some text onto the Save Text destination, Dropzone asks you for a name, and saves it for you. Great for storing those little snippets of text that you don't want to lose.
Copy or Move Files
Sometimes you want to copy or move a file or folder somewhere else on your Mac. Dropzone lets you setup destinations that do this. Underneath, Dropzone uses the fast and powerful Rsync file transfer tool to do its work.
Zip & Email
The Zip & Email destination zips up the dragged files and adds them as a Mail attachment, all ready to send. A simple and convenient time saver.
Extend Dropzone
Dropzone has a powerful Ruby based API that allows you to script Dropzone to do whatever you need. Not only that, but all the code for the destinations above is open source. So you can help us make Dropzone even better!
