In the past I had to use MS Word to write manuals (it comes with lot of export options, which come with a lot of headache).
Now I am really happy to work with myManuals - and my boss is happy, too. Not to mention the users.
To me myManuals has an outstanding price/value ratio! I can't imagine doing my job without it.

It supports more formats than the 'simple' version of ScreenSteps (which costs twice as much) - you can even customize the templates and of course you can annotate - the same way you're used to by Preview.app
Of course I can also build in a coffee maker and a vacation replacement - but main goal is to make it as usable and clean as possible…
So what you want from a simple app for twenty bucks where you even can create a TOC or embed custom code and banners to give it more than poor two stars???

Examples can be found on the myManuals homepage :-)

I took a cursory look at the demo to try to see if the $9.50 MacZot price is a good deal or not.
Agree. The "manual" to mymanuals is down inside the package contents, and is called from the help menu. Looks to me like a bunch of .css stuff as it resides in it's folder structure.
You're still right, there needs to be links to examples of other developers' manuals. It did export to a .pdf file, so I was able to take a quick look at what a finished manual might look like. Need to know if mymanuals templates are out there, or, are templates even needed to begin with.
Recommendation: The developer needs to provide a comparison chart to show advantages (whatever they may be) over NeoOffice with the focus being on what is timesaving. There must be some advantages, otherwise he wouldn't have written the software in the first place.
Searching the saved PDF file for the words "demo" and "registration" did not reveal what is crippled about the demo and whether or not the application "phones home" from time to time. It's doubtful an undecided buyer will go to the trouble to try to figure that out.
Hopes this helps out.
