I have multiple Macs, all of them Intel except for a 12" PowerBook G4 that my girlfriend and I use for casual browsing. Because this PowerBook is slower than all of our other Macs, we decided to use Camino because it seems to be the fastest browser on this computer. We run Safari and/or FireFox on all the other Macs.
Downloaded v1.2 from your website and copied it to ~/Library/Application Support/Camino/PreferencePanes and restarted Camino. Did not appear in the preference pane.
G4 Powerbook, 1.67Ghz, Mac OS X 10.5.7, Camino Version 1.6.7 (1.8.1.21 2009032711)
*Do not* set your user agent with version 1.0 of this preference pane. The "Default" setting will blank out your user agent, which will cause problems with a wide variety of web sites.
Is this for Leopard only? I followed the standard procedure to install preference panes for Camino, but it won't load up. I'm using 2.0b3 with 10.4.11.
It works for Mac OS X 10.3.x and newer;
did you copy the file correctly or did you just double clicked it?
Else, try the new 1.2 version from my website (it has been submitted to MacUpdate already, waiting for it to be approved).
Well, works fine for me (I am on 10.5.7 as well). Could you please give me some more info so that I can fix the issue? What version of Camino are you using? Did you copy it as indicated in the .DMG?

It's a shame that this plug-in is Intel only.

Should've re-checked, sorry for that.

~/Library/Application Support/Camino/PreferencePanes
"~" being your home folder
Create the folder "PreferencePanes" if it doesn't exist at that location.

Anyways, fixed it. The new file on my server has everything in it.
(I am updating the file here in a sec)
