Wait... there doesn't seem to be a "reverse text" function in this software. Can that be right?? It's the most basic feature of a prompter, to enable reading off reflective glass.

I'd have thought it's a no-brainer to include that function. Lemme know if I'm mistaken here...!?

Yes, just hit Command-Comma (or click AquaPrompt - Preferences) - the mirroring options are right in there.

An excellent little piece of software! I had one of those perfect meetings of inspiration, ("Ah, what I need is a teleprompter"), a quick google search, 2 or 3 dud sites, and then, Eureka, I found MacUpdate and AquaPrompt. Downloaded and installed it and was up and running, all in about 3 minutes. Only one small issue: trying to get the prompter to scroll. Turns out it was set to "zero" and all I needed to do was hit the period key to see that the software works perfectly, as "advertised". I haven't field tested it yet. By next week, after a long video shoot, I'll know all about it.

BTW- I am not a paid reviewer... a musician actually. I just had to say how good it feels to find what I needed when I needed it!

It's weird how difficult it is to download version 0.3. First, the MacUdate download link gets hijacked then, if you do get to the developer's website, the link points to an older version.

Then, the ZIP archive has a modification date of 12/31/03 so, if you're wondering where it ended up...

I hope there is more attention to detail in the application but, hey, it's free.

Thanks, the link on my site is fixed as well. The modified date must be that way because of the digital signing for the auto updater - I'll have to see if that's what changes the modified date. It's the only thing I can think of - the .zip file is created by the OS X built-in archiver.

Sorry about anyone who has been having redirect issues, I checked the link and it seems to be working fine. I suspect it may be my webhost. Please let me know if you continue to have similar problems.

It must be a DNS issue somewhere. The link we have in Download Now is identical to what is on the developer's page (he submitted the app directly to us).

Agree with first poster. Clicking "Download Now" in Safari 4, OS X 10.5.6 redirects to various with porn advertising.

To previous poster - I had no trouble getting the software, and it appears to be exactly what is advertised.

You may have been individually hijacked. Try the developer site directly:

Possible malware distribution.

No problems like that for me: downloaded flawlessly, works well. Interface is a mite too minimal for my taste but it works. Little Snitch reports no external calls. Seems fine.
