Version 3.1.1: Release notes were unavailable when this listing was updated.
My problem with this developer is that they provide no means of downloading prior versions of there software. There are still many of us out their running Mac OS 10.5.8 on Power PC machines, mine being a G5 quad that I paid a few grand for. There response to my inquiry was to go buy a new machine. Apparently, they have no concept of the current economic conditions in this country.
Supporting 3 operating system versions is a huge task for a small developer team. Plus, Apple new technologies are not available in old versions of OS X so it's even more complicated! Only 5% of Mac Users are using 10.5.8 and more than 75% are already using OS X 10.7 Lion.
I totally agree with adnX but where is the citation for the statistical information…what is the source, reference and context of the figures presented?
My organization has about 15,000+ Macs and we do NOT have 75% of those as 10.7 Lion… the majority are evenly distributed between 10.5 Leopard and 10.6 Snow Leopard with a lesser portion as 10.7 Lion.
Colleagues in other organizations and business enterprises seem to have the same sort of distribution I indicated above. Most of us use a 3-5 year evergreening lifecycle in the replacement of our Macs so I would conservatively suggest that the bulk of usage is currently in 10.6 Snow Leopard and NOT 10.7 Lion.
In defence of adnX, we should consider that 10.5 Leopard was released in 2007 (~5 years ago) and the last version (10.5.8) in 2009 (~3 years ago). That is a long time for support from a small developer and they are therefore warranted in discontinuing development support... but I agree that they should at least offer downloads of the older version on an unsupported basis.
Used for a few days to get the hang of the program. Couple of comments:
1) Quite difficult to change dates on tasks without having to go to every other task in the group--and the group itself--and change dates for each one. OmniPlan seems to do this with just a simple step.
2) User interface is nice... Colors are not. A little too “cute”
3) Crashed after spending much time making some changes and adding tasks. I cannot remember if there is the option to save changes automatically or not, but I lost all my changes.
I'm moving on to OmniPlan. Merlin looks good, but it's way beyond my budget right now.
Since version 2.1, Projector is rock solid as we fixed all crash reports sent by customers. With version 2.2, we tweaked everything to improve the user experience.
Two little things to correct to place this app on the right market.
All these vivid colors... And these 3d glossy effects "a la vista"... Good for children or windows users... Mac OSX = sobriety = design.
Problem on gantt day view...
I can't move the task nor change the duration with the mouse.
The day view is just for one day, there is no timeline to move.
Omniplan or others give zoom ability to choose the precise view.
