Drag and drop your video files onto the conversion queue and click on the button. It's pretty cool that one can choose to display info about the input files (Ctrl-Click on the table title bar), but the coolest feature is that it lets you create a thumbnail of the first frame of the video. Great for uploading to Gallery2-enabled servers or other similar media content management web site rigs.
I would give it a 5 out of 5 if it weren't for the occasional crash while in the preference window. My score: 4.5/5

The only part I had trouble with was finding an ffmpeg binary, but it actually does exist, check it out:
http://osxffmpeg.netfirms.com/
It does crash ocassionally when messing with the preference panel, but is not a big thing.

Alternatively, you can easily extract it from ffmpegX for Mac (http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8988/ffmpegx). Just right click the ffmpegX.app bundle in Finder and select "Show Package Content". The binaries are located at this path: /Contents/Resources/ffmpeg. Copy the binary file to a location of your choosing and set the appropriate path in HomemadeJelly's preferences.
