Current release is Intel-only. Going to contact the developer to request that a Universal / PPC-compatible version be made available.
Version 2.1.0.2, available on our downloads page (http://www.macroplant.com/downloads.php) should be PPC compatible. As of Xcode 4.1 and OSX 10.7, it's now nearly impossible for us to build a universal binary, so going forward we've discontinued PPC development.
Well, looking at this now, it looks like our PPC build for Pod to Mac may have gotten lost in the abyss. I'll see if I can dig something up later this week.

Apart from that this app works like it says. Recommended.

The program is clearly well supported, the older FREE version is still available (and as far as I can tell still works), the current (shareware) version still has the same functionality as the old version for "free" (must suffer through a one-minute ad nag), and again -- for what you are getting -- the price is reasonable. Unlike Senuti, who TRICKED their users into upgrading to a crippled version, this transition to shareware is more properly handled.
Ten bucks for a great tool that could really save your bacon someday. Compared to the work you would need to do to reconstruct what you lost. Think about it, particularly in light of the active development.

Even iTunes allows their old DRM-protected music to play on up to five authorized computers. (I have more than five Macs already.) Pod to Mac can be used with unlimited iPods. (I only have three iPods.) For someone like me, who likes to use one larger iPod (60GB iPod Photo) to transfer music to several Macs, Pod to Mac doesn't make sense. For someone with one Mac and a dozen iPods, or someone who wants to transfer music from other people's iPods to their lone Mac the license limitations might not matter. Reading your review, I was almost sold on Pod to Mac for ten dollars. But lots of similar applications are available for twenty dollars. (And of course, some for free.) I'll keep looking...

Either way it's worth the money when you need it.
