iTunesXMLparserUse this application to parse an iTunes XML exported library file and export the records as a text file (tab delimited).
Text file (tab delimited) are ready to be inported in FileMaker and in any other database or spreadsheet application.
If you select your Music playlist in iTunes and then choose File->Library->Export Playlist you'll get a tab delimited unicode text file. What does this do that that does not? By the way, if you're interested in taking that exported file and moving it into a FileMaker database, try our freeware iGotta MP3 Collection.
Thank you for your intelligent review, but have you tested the application? I suspect not yet...
With iTunesXMLparser you may do a lot more then just convert the XML into tab text, for example you may select
the fields to export or choose to export only one record per cd.
True - it is a great app. Thanks to the developer.
@JO SPOCK: I believe the problem with special characters like umlauts is at your end - I imported the parsed text-file into an OpenOffice spread sheet using Unicode (UTF-8) as encoding scheme - and had no problem with 'ä' etc. - everything is just fine. I checked the exported text file with a text editor (TextEdit doesn‘t get the correct encoding, too) - smart editors like BBEdit get all special characters without any problem.

One thing on my wishlist would be support for other languages characters
