Quicksilver Actions: Spotlight Port... These Apps are small AppleScript Applications to use from Spotlight. They try to be a substitution of the Quicksilver Actions.
Now you can do thing like file "file labelling" or "file tagging" right from the menubar.
Thank you for this port. I used Quicksilver for almost a year (until Leopard came along, with it's vastly improved Spotlight (from Tiger)). It's nice to be able to "empty trash" from the keyboard. Keep up the good work, these scripts help users who do not wish to use Quicksilver have a more capable Spotlight.
I use quicksilver. I suppose that a spolight user could use these but if you learn enough to use spotlight then you can learn to use quicksilver to better effect. There are several very good tutorials on this on the web. Maybe the developer of this Spotlight set can clarify this better.
It's likely because Quicksilver is not in active development and its developer has actually recommended that users use LaunchBar instead because Quicksilver is too hacky and unstable at present for his taste.
Aye. I think that QS's perpetual beta state is a deterrent for some people. I use LaunchBar personally, and I don't think I could live without it. However, I'm sure there's a niche for something like these actions for people who don't want to pay for LB and aren't entirely comfortable with QS.

...But why not use Quicksilver itself? It does SO much more than just this handful of actions.
