Some faux menu items are inside the window.
As the earlier reviewer says, the software is not free. But you really have to search to find the price. Contrary to the other reviewer's note, the price is actually €59 with a discount for April. EUR 59 is USD 84 which makes it waaaaay overpriced.
Use is non-intuitive because it's missing "tons of features you don't need" [but might want nevertheless]

As I said, the price I posted is a sale price. This is also easily seen on their site:
"30% discount in April
Price €59 €39"
The €59 appears crossed out.
What you consider way overpriced many others considered a bargain, since apparently they were able to use VST plugins in DAWs that did not allow the use of 3rd party VST plugins (e.g., Studio One Artist).
By the way, I found no SubEthaEdit document when I downloaded the file via MacUpdate.
I can't comment on its actual use, but apparently works quite well for many people and has received positive reviews from credible sources:

Download includes a text document written in SubEthaEdit which costs $36! And, when you open it, there is nothing relevant anyway.
