I use Moneydance for my personal accounting, but I have used this since last years bookending for my company, here in Sweden.
I was surprised by how few really good accounts programs there are, that support European standards - Economacs/iOrdning, does. Specifically the SIE standard file extension.
It is very good, clean Mac interface - straight forward to use. It does not do graphs and whizzy charts, it is for proper accounting to the authorities - at least, as I use it - Chart of Account, forward balances, etc. . Moneydance for personal finance does all the whizzy eye candy stuff.
It even fills the info onto the tax authority's forms, ready for printing as pdf.
The developer is very attentive and helpful - as part of my trial I wanted to import data from another set of accounts - he batch processed them for me and emailed them within the day.
To get the batch process done by a consultant would have cost more than the app - not withstanding the free batch processing.
- it is called "iOrdning" in Swedish.
[Version 3.4.1]
