The dev site instead is redirected to incrediblebee.com where there is no trace of Slidepad!
Except for that, I must say that the slide function works better than with Sidenote (used Sidenote for years on Tiger and then Leopard, but not always sliding when nearing the mouse to the side of the screen, while Slidepad does).
On the other hand, drag and drop of pictures doesn’t work perfectly out of Slidepad while it’s ok with Sidenote...
Ande Slidepad occasionnaly crashes.
Nobody’s perfect! ;-)

Does anyone know where it keeps its files? There is a slidepad folder in application support which holds a .sav file...is this it?

Do not bother to download this lamentable attempt at a rip-off. Have a look at the free original, the marvellous Sidenote -- http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/17654/sidenote
At least it's good to see they have been unable to earn money from it -- they have presumably been unable to fool enough people.
Pierre ( http://www.chatelp.org/?page_id=5 ) explains why there has been no update to Sidenote for a while, but Hey! it works beautifully, and it's superbly crafted.

I initially found it somewhat lacking but the developer quickly replied to my comments. A feature suggestion I made (changing the window height) even made it into this release.
IMO, it's priced too high for what it does and that will keep it out of the hands of most users.
Seems like a responsive, responsible developer, FWIW.
IMO, $9.99 - $12.99 is about what a basic notepad is worth, even one that slides out from the screen.
YMMV
