It's with a heavy heart that I write this. I've used and supported Socialite ever since it was EventBox, but after all these years it's still too buggy for what I need it to do. As an RSS reader, it's failed me due to persistent lockups with refreshes; as a Twitter client, it's failed me due to constant reauthorization request and perpetual refreshes. I've tried everything on their support forums that's been recommended, and nothing seems to work at all.

I'm not really bitter or angry at Apparent Software, I know they try. I've just that I've had enough with my constant struggles in getting this app to work for me.

After installing Lion it worked for a few days, then all of a sudden, it will not launch.

All in all this app feels slow and badly programmed.

All I am really looking for is a living, breathing version of Brizzly. This is fairly close, but lacks auto-expansion of all pictures, videos and links such as Brizzly has.

I will say, definitely kudos for not going the route of making it a tiny column like most Twitter apps inexplicably feel compelled to do. Also, I like the fact you can make the fonts bigger. Would be nice if you could customize them too.

So, not a bad app, just doesn't do what I was specifically searching for.

But one question: is there support for Twitter photo upload to Yfrog or alike service? Very needed feature which I couldn't find.

Installed it, added Facebook account, no refresh, couldn't access my Facebook account.
After deleting all(!) Socialite files and reinstalling the app, I tried to add FB account again. I was asked to enter a name for the service and after antering a name I've never used before - despite having deleted all existing Socialite files from my Mac - Socialite pulled some account information from somewhere without needing any authorization. I think this app is not very trustworthy and also buggy.
