The developer is very responsive and I look forward to GuitarTools as a mobile App.
Thanks, Amc3

-The neck wasn't upside down.
-The neck was perhaps, vertically aligned, or had an option for such.
-The chords had more options so you can see individual chords rather than every note of the chord strewn across the entire neck. This is a learning tool, not something for professionals to use for reference (what would a professional need to reference?)
-Toss the "diatonic" option, it's nothing more than a series of finger exercises within the major scales. Either make a finger exercise section, or lose this one altogether, me thinks.
Nice app for a freebee, though!

-Diatonic has nothing to do with finger exercises. I'm not sure why there's harmonic and melodic included as diatonic, though.
-Chords are just a combination of intervals. For example, a Major chord includes the 1,3 and 5 scale degrees. The way these are displayed enables any guitarist to choose the notes he/she wants across the neck. If the software showed you individual chords you would have dozens of chords in a very small graphical space. Maybe the author can include an option to show the basic C-A-G-E-D forms or something similar.
Have a look on the site, there are explanations concerning Diatonic scales ;-)

It covers a comprehensive range scale and chord types and even includes a simple circle of fifth reference chart for figuring out chord progressions. The layout is quite intuitive and offers lots of gui customization options. With a little bit of teaking, it really doesn't look half bad at all and my setup now matches my guitar quite nicely.
I'm really quite pleased with this app and hope the developer keeps this project alive for a good while to come because he's definitely off to a very promising start.
Highly recommended.
Keep posted !
