I just checked the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy pages on the developer's site. Both are blank. Maybe you have to open an account to see that information. I have no idea what rights the developer considers himself to have to his customers' data.
I wouldn't use this product for anything serious without consult a lawyer first. An Italian lawyer.

Basically the program is an unloader to their site. Where they photoshop it for you. Then send it back.

This is wrong:
1. You send an image to our server
2. The server launches an algorithm who calculates *every possible outline*.
3. The server will send you back the elaborated image in few time (it depends by bandwidth and server load)
So you will be able to proceed in cutting out your image quickly and easily.
-the algorithm for the clipping path extraction is really heavyweight and you need a huge machine to work on it. In this way instead the effective load is on the server.
-everyone can enjoy EVERY new version, functionality and bug fix absolutely for free. For example, from version 2.1.3 we introduced the "smooth selection" tool without further costs.You don't have to pay for any licence, since the software is freeware.
Moreover,you can use the windows and Mac OS X version with the same account without paying a new licence for each one.
This make Aerocut very affordable!
