What's New
Version 2.3.1:
Added the ability to choose a custom backup directory by holding the 'Option' keyboard key at startup.
Added support for the iPhone 4S.
Fixed minor interface bugs.
Requirements
PPC / Intel
Mac OS X 10.5 or later
iTunes 7 or later
At least one unencrypted iTunes backup of an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad
Thanks for your interest, but unfortunately, JuicePhone can only read what iTunes backs up, and that doesn't necessarily include "system" applications. Some of their data (documents/media/preferences) may be recovered in the home folder, but iTunes, and therefore JuicePhone, doesn't acknowledge them as apps. Sorry!
Sorry about the 'double review,' but it's been a while since it's been updated, •and• I really appreciate the developer's efforts, so here it is - a second review.
Thanks for the update. It works great as usual. No problems at all. Thanks again.
Would it be possible to backup totally everything? Including jailbroke stuff? Backup things in ‘root' and ‘mobile?' Just a total bit for bit copy of everything on one's iPhone? That would be very cool, if possible. Enough of me rambling on. Thanks again for the app, and for making it free. Keep up the good work!

It's kind of funny to see people wonder why this app is free ;-)
We could, in theory, make JuicePhone shareware, but people would only buy it if they needed it in "emergency occasions." I can't see anybody who'd really use this on a regular basis, so it wouldn't make any sense to sell it. Plus, we've been in the iPhone/Mac community for a pretty long time and rarely made any contributions. It's only fair to give something back ;)
This is great. Does exactly what is says.
I tried restoring the backup to my iPhone on various occassions... simply puts the phone into a loop and you get nowhere. So the data gets lost when the only choice is to wipe the phone and start again.
Now at least I've a manual backup and can reinstall data as I please without having to use that dumb iTunes.
Very nice program. I tried it with my 3G iPhone, and it worked quickly and efficiently. Thanks very much for this little app. And for free? Very nice of you. Thanks again.

It worked well for me.
I did find it crashed though once but I maybe overloaded my system. Not sure.
