ImageOptim is a front-end (GUI) for set of tools for optimisation of PNG and JPEG images.
Optimisation makes files smaller (in terms of disk space) by finding optimal compression parameters and by removing unneccessary information, like file comments, EXIF tags and color profiles.

Version 1.4.0:
- Included PNGOUT by default (with permission of Ardfry Imaging, LLC). Now ImageOptim includes all best optimisation tools out of the box.
- Simplified preferences: options for stripping PNG chunks and JPEG EXIF data are in one place.
- Localization fixes by Gildas Lormeau
- "View Source" option - because not only web apps have viewable source code :)
- Website moved to http://imageoptim.com

Just drag&drop images to the app window and it does the hard job for you, it let you take a break and eat a slice of pie or continue working without worrying for the monotone task of image optimization.
Oh! And its free. =3

Knocked a good few % off some files even after we had used pngcrush; and supports gifs and jpgs too.
The curious part of me would like to see a log showing which of the attempted optimisations was best, but other than that it's just fabulous :-)
